I am a semi-retired professional living in Whistler BC. I have a passion for electric vehicles, in particular my Chevy Bolt, and all thing that lower greenhouse gas emissions.
My primary corporate career was in the high tech wireless data infrastructure business as a project manager and senior manager. I was fortunate to have spent a number of years in Asia, Kuala Lumper and Singapore as the SE Asia Regional Manager for Motorola's Wireless Data Division.
For the past 15 years I have been involved in Energy Efficiency and Environmental Sustainability words. I established a number of private and not-for profit organizations, focused on youth environmental sustainability education. Projects included the Passion for Action Sustainability Suitcase (winner of the NRCan 2005 Energy Efficiency Program of the Year), The Hub for Active School Travel (HASTe), Gobi (online carbon footprint management tools), and numerous carbon footprint calculators and outreach programs.
My wife and I are now living in Whistler. I am working as a Whistler Blackcomb Mountain Host and very involved with the Rotary Club of Whistler. (besides occasional money paying gigs). We have 3 adult children.
This website travel blog will document my planned 14000 mile road trip.
